On Dec. 26th, at 5 p.m. Egyptian time, the Egyptian police attacked the shop of Mr. Magdy Guirgis Fam, a very courageous brother who works under the umbrella of the Coptic Orthodox church. The police completely destroyed his shop, then beat him and arrested him, taking him to jail. Bro. Magdy's ministry is to follow up with the girls whom Muslims kidnap or forcibly convert to Islam. (See our press release: "Christian newspaper in Egypt discloses facts behind cases of alleged kidnappings of Christians.")
Magdy has literally saved hundreds of Christian girls right before they were kidnapped, or forced through different ways to convert to Islam. Although Magdy was released the next day, he is still in need of prayer. We deeply appreciate your prayers for the healing and safety of Bro. Magdy, and the resolution of all charges against him as a result of his ministry, as well prayers for all Christians in Egypt.

A Christian friend of Magdy's family says Magdy's sister reports he was released from jail Dec. 27th. Please continue to pray for Bro. Magdy. |
