Help Us In The Fight For Souls
There is a battle raging throughout the Middle East -- a spiritual battle -- where the "casualties" remain casualties forever, when Muslims meet the end of their physical lives, only to begin eternity separated from the One who laid down his life for them on a cross in Israel almost 2000 years ago.
Today, the Middle East draws the world's attention for its atrocities against Christians. David Joseph, founder of The Last Harvest, faced interrogation every few weeks by the police for years in Egypt. He is now on the "five most wanted" list of those radical Islamists in Egypt who would like to kill this middle-aged pastor and part-time dentist. Why? Because, God has taken this humble man, who was a friend and disciple of Richard Wurmbrand (founder of The Voice of the Martyrs) and has given him access to an underground network of over 1,000 pastors throughout the Middle East.
This network is planting churches in countries where no churches previously existed. This network is transforming the face of the Middle East -- quietly, courageously, humbly -- right under the noses of the powers of this world. There are many young Iraqis, Iranians, Jordanians, Syrians, Egyptians, Algerians, Tunisians -- and people from every restricted country in the Middle East, that are hearing the Spirit's call and embracing Jesus as their Savior.
I am compelled to cry out and invite you to help, because the door of opportunity is open like it may never be again and we have access, through Bro. Joseph's ministry, to bring Bibles, Christian literature and the most modest, but at the same time, eternity-changing help to native pastors in these countries. The Last Harvest is facing a people starving for spiritual sustenance, and see a need that is as vast as the desert sands of Arabia. As a volunteer for this ministry, I ask God, "Where could we get enough bread in this remote place to feed such a crowd?"(Matt. 15:33)
But, I know that God can multiply the love in your hearts, (1 Th. 3:12) and thereby, use you to provide more spiritual bread to the hungry. "Jesus replied, 'They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.'" (Matt. 14:16) In my ten years as a very active Christian, I have never seen a ministry that God is using to do so much with so little. And, so, in faith, believing that God will multiply the small loaves of life-giving bread that The Last Harvest has in hand now, I ask you in humility and with prayer: will you prayerfully consider being partners in this effort? The harvest will be truly bountiful, and you can rejoice that others have life-giving bread amid the spiritual darkness of the Islamic nations. We are in tears at the thought that God will move your heart.!
