Your Gifts for THE CHRISTMAS PROJECT Encouraged Others

We give thanks to God For Our donors to this project.

The 2007 Christmas Blessing project distributed 2300 Christmas gift packages to struggling believers in Egypt during the Egyptian Christmas holiday, which occurs in early January.

It was a critical time to encourage these believers, as the oppression of Egypt's Christian community continues to grow. In February, Muslim groups set four Christian shops on fire, and police responded by arresting the Christians.

By working with churches within Egypt, for a cost of just $20, The Last Harvest provides a package containing a T-shirt, toothbrush and paste, a pencil, pens, and crayons, a notebook, a hairbrush, a toy, candy, a picture Bible, a chicken for the family Christmas meal, and a teaching audiotape.

This Christmas was especially difficult, as a mission trip to Egypt planned for months had to be cancelled due to actions by local Egyptan authorities that created serious security concerns for travelers.

We thank the giving partners of The Last Harvest for helping us bring encouragement to our brothers and sisters in Egypt.

God Bless You,
Jan Fletcher, Newsletter editor

Worker providing gifts

These Middle Eastern Children are praising God for Jesus Christ in an Egyptian church. Through The Last Harvest, they received warm clothing and simple gifts in the 2007 Christmas gift program. Egyptian churches are in crumbling buildings, and Egyptian Christians suffer poverty and persecution.
