Session 8
We truly enjoyed the last session where we listened to Dr. Nagy commenting on, "But they killed Him not, nor crucified him. Only a likeness of that was shown to them." Some people thought that the one who was crucified was Judas, and Dr. Nagy promised us that he is going to tell us about the Imams theories concerning the issue of the cross and who was it, Judas or someone else. But before we speak about El Razi, do you have any extra comments about what we said in our last session because I know the time was too short to say everything.
After we mentioned in the last session that it was Literally impossible for God to cast His likeness on Judas without casting His likeness on Jesus or another disciple. One of them had to act the other ones role. Judas, the betrayer who loves money, had to act the role of Jesus, speaking gently and in all loving kindness to the one that arrested and crucified Him and to remain silent before the ones who arrested Him and to ask forgiveness for those who crucified Him and to promise one of the two thieves of going to heaven. The most astonishing thing is the fact that he healed the servant of the high priest. This came in chapter 14 verse 47 from the book of Mark and in the book of Luke chapter 22.
Did the Almighty give Judas, the traitor, the authority to heal the sick, as it was the case with the Lord Jesus?
The theory that says that God cast his resemblance on one of the disciples even if it was Judas the traitor represented a great offense to God himself as if we are accusing Him of not being able to save His own prophet. It pictures Him powerless before a bunch of men who came to arrest the Lord Jesus and we could see Him as unjust. He saved His prophet Moses when the people wanted to stone him, but He could not do this with Jesus. He rebuked Mary and Aaron for speaking against Moses, God's spokesman, and He punished Mary by leprosy. But the same God was weak and helpless before the Jews in Jesus time that He had to cast His own likeness on someone else. In fact there is so much to tell about this issue.
What was El Razi input concerning in this particular issue of the casting the resemblance of the Lord Jesus, Blessed is His name, on another at the cross?
He wrote about this issue in his book of "Mafatih El Gheib" volume 6 by Dar El Feker publishers, and He addressed many problems that he called "Irresolvable Problems" that come with the assumption of () the first problem is ()
Before we go on, can you please explain the terms ()?
| This
means heresy or words that have no real meaning or foundation words that
have no proofs or evidence to support. The other term means doubting in
what we have received from our grandparents as heritage. It means bringing
doubt to what we have received as prophecies that we received from the true
prophets. The second problem that faced El Razi is that Jesus was by the
spirit of Gabriel. And this is according to our beloved Muslims beliefs
was the spirit of Gabriel unable to help Him protect Himself while He was
able to raise the dead. The third problem was that God almighty was able
to save Him by taking Him to heaven. So what was the use of casting His
likeness on other except executing an innocent person without any valid
reason? |
Dr. Nagy I can hardly believe that this is the comment of one of the Muslim Imams about the issue of casting the likeness of Jesus on someone else.
This is why I mentioned the reference where these words were written. All this came in" Mafatih El Gheib" volume 6 that was publish by Dar El Feker -Beirut page 100-106.
